VILLAGES

Many dream homes are in quaint villages near a country forest wood

Where the four seasons’ bright colors beautify both the evil and good,

Where Mother Nature is a family member

Living with us from January to December,

Where Man’s neighbours are foxes, beavers, and raccoons,

Where his musicians are the cardinals, blue jays, and loons,

Where unfortunately, these outlying visages will best survive when Mankind sleeps,

As when awake, he’ll often turn such beauty into cement cities full of garbage heaps.
