FROM A GRIN TO LAUGHTER

At first there is a very timid and shy grin

Morphing into an often cheerful smile

That is transformed by a humorous spin

Whilst the agents of fun us beguile

By tickling and exciting our proverbial funny bone

Into giggles, chuckles, chortles, and belly laughs

Setting alight our spirits so that they beam full-blown,

And we laughingly partake in life’s many gaffs,

Knowing that such laughter is the harmonious music of our soul,

Which when played in the symphony of being, makes life whole.
