DON QUIXOTE WITH A PEN

I could be Don Quixote, the invention of Miguel Cervantes

As I have often tilted at windmills during many of my days.

And I do admit that Quixote’s reality does sync with my life, as some likenesses go.

Witnesseth my ladylove as she doeth present as a most lovely Dulcinea del Toboso

And true, my chivalry and tilting at windmills dubs me as being a brave knight-errant.

I have a need for many-a loyal Sancho Panza, to recognize reality's futility, as I can't.

However, characterizing me as Cervantes’ Don Quixote De La Mancha with a pen

Would cause the skilled Cervantes of antiquity to rue all of what he had written then.
